Pianist Byron Janis sat down with Barika Taheer of the Artsy Fartsy Show to talked about his life as a musician and the principles mind over matter. Byron Janis is not a stranger to the wonders of the paranormal. When he was 11 years old, he cut his little finger severely and lost his nerve and tendons, and has played his entire life with a numb finger, he was the first American artist to visit the Soviet Union on a cultural exchange in 1960 when he was 16 years old. He details his affinity for synchronicity with Chopin in his book, Chopin and Beyond, my extraordinary life of Music and the Paranormal…., and is now writing a musical, adapting the classic Victor Hugo Classic the Hunchback of Notre Dame for Broadway.
